Technics Turntables

DNA Audio are delighted to announce that we have been appointed as a retailer for the iconic brand Technics.

Initially we will be demonstrating two of their new range of decks. These are the Premier Class SL-1500C and Grand Class SL-1200G. The SL-1500C is a stripped down version of the amazing Reference class SL-1000R. Both are now available as part of a relaunch of the Technics brand. Technics are famous for their turntable design, many were used as DJ decks but broadcast is where Technics really started gaining traction for their high performance designs including the SP10 motor unit. They have since come up with several iconic turntable designs including the original SL-1200 and the SL-10.

The new range are all direct-drive turntables. They both build on the original design of the classic 1200 but all are ground up redesigns as all the original tooling had been disposed of when manufacturing ceased.

The entry-level SL-1500C is a plug-and-play product. It comes with an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge and internal MM phono stage.

The Grand Class SL-1200G is an audiophile deck with huge presence and detail. DNA Audio would be happy to advise on specs and set-up.
