The Master clock of the digital source is crucial to the performance. The more accurate it is the better the performance will be. Inaccuracy of the mater clock is called Jitter and the greater the jitter the greater the distortion in the signal produced. This is why Esoteric pay great attention to the quality of the master clock. The G-02X features a heated compartment to keep the clock generator at a constant temperature. This helps the clock to work at a stable frequency and contributes to the clock precision of 0.01 parts per million. This high degree of precision helps to reduce phase or timing related noise by approx 3dB over the previous model.
