The Esoteric N-05XD combines all the features of a Network Player and DAC with an analogue preamplifier. It features the latest Streaming technology with the latest Esoteric Discreet DAC architecture.
The N-05XD has two analogue inputs. One is single ended on an RCA cable and the other balanced on XLR. The Pre-amplifier is a fully balanced design for excellent performance. It also features a high quality headphone amplifier capable of driving high quality headphones.
You can stream via popular streaming services via the Ethernet port or you can attach a mass storage device via USB. The N-05XD supports the major high quality streaming services such as Tidal, Qobuz and Spotify. It is also Roon ready and can decode MQA files. There are 6 digital inputs on XLR, RCA, Optical and USB connections. The analogue Pre-amplifier output can be connected to a power amplifier or active speakers via RCA or XLR.
A stunning looking and sounding product and also one of the most versatile products around. It opens up the possibility of a one box high end streaming system with the addition of some active speakers. The N-05XD is also one of the only Esoteric products that is available in black and silver.
