The Chord Electronics Ultima Mono Power amplifier is the top model in the Chord Ultima range. It is built in a full size double height double depth chassis. The huge chassis enables the Ultima mono amps to deliver 780WPC into 8 ohms. They will also deliver 1400WPC into 4 ohms and 2500WPC into 2 ohms. Peak current delivery is 500A. This is a vast amount of power on tap and one of the most powerful available at anywhere near this price. These mono amps will drive any loudspeakers with extreme ease and offer tons of headroom in any listening room.
The case of the Chord Electronics Ultima Mono is constructed from large milled and anodised aluminium slabs which ooze quality and craftsmanship. As with most Chord Electronics products part of the inside is visible from vents in the top cover. The inside is illuminated using Teal colour LEDs which give the product a striking glow. Metalwork is available in Silver or Black. The pre-amp sits on Integra legs which enable stacking if required.
