Esoteric Grandioso F1 integrated amplifier
Esoteric F1 integrated amplifier.
The Esoteric Grandioso F1 sits at the very top of the Esoteric integrated amplifier range. Functionally it is similar to the F-03A with the same inputs outputs and other controls. The front panel design on this range features a stunning milled from solid fascia with all controls on display. Under the lid there are lots of improvements over the F-03A.
The Esoteric Grandioso F1 offers a great range of inputs and outputs and 30 WPC into 8 ohms and 60W into 4 ohms The substantial amplifier weighs in at over 32Kg and inside is effectively dual mono construction with the exception of the transformer. The power supply is based around a custom 1000W core transformer. This feeds 4 separate diode bridges and then 8 substantial smoothing capacitors. Each power amp channel is based around a huge heatsink and rather than using tracks uses large bus bars to transfer power more effectively. Each power amp channel has substantial venting in the case to allow cool running.
The output stage of the Grandioso F1 features output Mosfets made exclusively for Esoteric. Each device can handle 78A of continuous current, much greater than the devices on the F-03A
The Esoteric F1 has a built in switchable phono stage. It will work with both Moving Magnet and Moving coil cartridges. Line inputs can be connected via RCA or XLR connectors. There is also a pre-amp output on RCA and XLR connectors. The font panel of the F1 features a set of tone controls, these can be bypassed if required. The F1 can also drive a set of headphones via the connector on the front panel.
