What we Say:
The Focal Sopra No.1 is the smallest model in the Sopra Range. It is a large 2 way stand mount loudspeaker. The cabinet has a rear firing reflex port that gives performance from a relatively compact cabinet. The Sopra range draws heavily from the Utopia range in both styling and technology. The baffle is angled to time align drivers towards the listener. The Sopra No.1 has a bespoke stand available. The speaker can be bolted directly to it for greater stability.
The Focal Sopra No.1 offers a big open dynamic sound with controlled bass. It partners well with most electronics but will benefit from high quality source and amplification such as that from Naim. Focal make all of their own drive units and often supply them to other loudspeaker manufacturers. All of their products are handmade in France. We think that Focal have done an excellent job with the Kanta range. They work well with the Naim Uniti and classic ranges as well as a wide range of other equipment.
The cabinet is available in wide range of high gloss paint finishes and also real wood veneers.
