What we Say:
The Linn Akurate DSM is a compact one box streaming pre-amplifer. It features a built in phono stage so you can connect a turntable such as the Linn Akurate LP12 directly. Akurate DSM is equipped with a wide range of analogue and digital inputs including HDMI, optical, analogue(balanced and unbalanced) and electrical SPDIF. It is the middle product in the Linn DSM range. The Akurate has been part of the Linn range for some time now, regular updates make it sound as good as ever. Linn make upgrades available to users of the outgoing model so your product doesn’t become obsolete.
As with all Linn products the Akurate DSM range features stunning build quality inside and out. This is because Linn manufacture all casework in the factory in Glasgow using the latest CNC equipment. For example, the casework labels are screen printed so finish and durability is improved. The units are flexibility without it being at the expense of performance. The power amplifier modules will drive most loudspeakers comfortably. Akurate DSM comes with space optimisation system as standard. This corrects room effects from speakers that are not in ideal positions within the room. Because of this unwanted room effects(usually bass peaks) will no longer be an issue.
Akurate DSM is available in either silver or black finishes. You can connect it directly to a pair of active speakers. If you wish to connect passive speakers add a power amplifier from the Akurate range such as the Akurate 2200.
