The Linn Klimax LP12 is an iconic product. For over 40 years Linn have developed the LP12 into the product it is today. Each upgrade offers demonstrable improvements to the performance of the deck. It allows customers to incrementally improve the deck as and when they want to. This commitment to the product and the format and philosophy of upgradability follows through into the Linn product range in products such as Selekt and the other DSM products.
The Linn Klimax LP12 is the top model in the LP12 range. It is a full turntable package that includes the following components.
- Sondek LP12 turntable
- Keel machined sub-chassis and armboard
- Radikal motor control unit & power supply
- Brushed DC motor in acoustically isolated housing
- Ekos SE precision tonearm
- Kandid moving coil (MC) cartridge
- Urika II Moving Coil phono stage built-in to suspended base.
This package includes the top tier of every LP12 component all in one package.. Just add an amplifier and a pair of speakers. We recommend adding Klimax level components to complete the system.
The Linn Klimax LP12 is the ultimate statement in turntable design. The Klimax LP12 offers exceptional performance and will last for generations to come. The plinth comes in a choice of different solid real hardwoods. Build quality as you would expect from a precision engineering company is spectacular throughout. The Radikal power supply is milled from a solid billet of aircraft grade aluminium to a mirror finish before being anodised and screen printed by hand. The Ekos SE is assembled by hand in the Linn factory in Glasgow by experienced production staff. Assembly and testing is meticulous from start to finish.
