The Rega Aethos is an integrated amplifier that sits between the Osiris and the Elicit-R. It features a high performance integrated headphone amplifier with the ability to dive difficult loads. The Rega Aethos is a line level amplifier with 5 inputs. It shares build features with the range topping Osiris. The scooped out side cheeks are a nice feature adding to the striking looks and aiding cooling at the same time. The Aethos takes full advantage of a range of upgraded components which increases performance.
The Aethos amplifier is able to deliver 125W per channel into 8 Ohms and 156W into 6 Ohms. Much improved chassis and heatsinking makes the amplifier much more thermally efficient. A larger toroidal transformer in the power supply gives greater dynamics. Many critical components upgrades mean better performance and power output. The Aethos features a combination of both leaded and surface mount components. This is a lot of amplifier for the money and thanks to its clever design also sounds great.
