Rega Elicit-R

Rega Elicit-R stereo integrated amplifier.

What we Say:

The Rega Elicit-R is an integrated amplifier that sits between the soon to be released Aethos and Elex-R. It features a high spec moving magnet (MM) phono stage and an integrated headphone amplifier. The Rega Elicit-R initially looks similar inside to the Elex-R but really it’s just the layout that is similar . The Elicit-R takes full advantage of a range of upgraded components which increases performance.

The Elicit-R amplifier is able to deliver 105W per channel into 8 Ohms and 162W into 4 Ohms.  The amplifier is much more thermally efficient because of the extra space inside and greater amount of heatsinking. A larger toroidal transformer in the power supply gives greater dynamics.  Many critical components upgrades mean better performance and power output. The Elicit-R features a combination of both leaded and surface mount components. This is a lot of amplifier for the money and thanks to its clever design also sounds great.

Elicit-R offers fantastic sound quality as you’d expect and incredible build quality too. It was given five stars in the What HiFi review. They commented that it is “One of the best stereo amps that we’ve heard at this price”. Find out for yourself by booking a demo here at DNA Audio.

What they say:

The Elicit-R has been designed and engineered to the highest standard. The Elicit-R will deliver the best possible audio performance whilst remaining simple to use and easy to setup. Our recent development work in amplifier design circuitry has allowed us to further advance the Elicit-Rperformance by using new and improved power amplifier circuits (based around the hugely successful Rega Brio-R amplifier).

Combined with FET discrete line level pre-amplifiers and a programmable stepped attenuator volume control, ensuring greater levels of performance and control over the delivery of power. The Elicit-R is supplied with the new Solaris system remote handset offering full control over this and all of the current ‘R’ range of electronics.
