The new Rega Planar 1 turntable is the most user-friendly Rega turntables to date. This is partly because it has a Rega Carbon cartridge factory fitted.
The design of the more expensive models applies but at a lower price point. Rega use a low mass plinth and Phenolic resin platter that controls unwanted resonance. The new RB110 tonearm has self setting bias. The Planar 1 is set up in minutes after unpacking. This is because it just needs connecting to an MM phono input on your amplifier.
The Rega Planar 1 comes pre-fitted with the excellent Rega Carbon MM cartridge. As a result, simply fit the counterweight, set the tracking force, remove the stylus guard and start spinning your favourite vinyl.
